To this day, Moon the Shih Tzu has taken a total of 74 kittens under his wing in an Australian veterinary clinic.
It seems that this special pup has a certain talent to reassure and put in trust the small felines ill or waiting to be adopted.
Moon this 5-year-old Shih Tzu has also become known as the best babysitter for kittens.
Moon is the dog of Kate Hayes, a veterinary nurse at Warwick Veterinary Hospital, near Perth, Australia. He spends most of his time in this establishment where he became the adoptive father of young animals in distress, especially cats.
Moon a loving Shih Tzu
It all began 4 years ago when his owner welcomed a three-legged cat named Phoenix. After her surgery, she had recovered in Kate’s home. What was her surprise when she realized that the cat and her dog were quickly attached to each other. Phoenix, who was rather nervous and suspicious, changed her attitude completely when she was with Moon. She was much more gentle and serene.

As Kate Hayes tells Animal Channe, when Moon hears kittens meowing, his ears stand up and he always goes looking for them, and then starts fondling them with his muzzle. His owner adds that the Shih Tzu “is more attached to sick kittens, it’s like he understands that something was wrong with them and he becomes very protective.”
Moon has developed a very special link with kitten called Stumbelina; this little female suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological disease that makes her movement and balances difficult. He followed her everywhere and when she collapsed, he helped her to get back on her feet.
All the kittens he “adopted” were transformed and supported by his presence and his kindness, as was Phoenix. Most were adopted.
But the dog Moon has also helped two dogs, including Moe, a three-legged American Bulldog. He also found the support he needed from this great Shih Tzu, as can be seen in the picture below.
The story of this service dog born without eyes is overwhelming and unique! An example and an inspiration to us all …
Joanne George, the owner of the Golden Retriever service dog, saved Smiley.
Suffering from Dwarfism, born without eyes, and supposedly sentenced to death at the age of two, he survived thanks to her. Almost 10 years after all these adventures, he continues to help those in need! “People are so inspired by what it represents”, explains Joanne. “I realized that this dog was destinated for therapy, I had to share it.”
Shortly after this realization, the dog got the certificate to become a service dog and joined the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. He spends several hours each day visiting patients in retirement homes, he also goes to hospitals to see sick children.
For the past 7 years, Smiley has taught people to not to stop at disability, illness, past. “Dogs can come back from nowhere, they can forget their past,” Joanne says, “we as humans, we focus on our past.”
One of Smiley’s visits was particularly noteworthy.
Teddy, an elderly man, whom Smiley often sees in a nursing home, does not speak and he was unable to communicate. “One day, Smiley put his paws on Teddy, and he started to smile and make noise”, says Joanne. “All the nurses came back into the room and said they had never seen him smile, or even have such a reaction.”
From now on, whenever Smiley comes to this retirement home, Teddy is the first person who comes to see.
“I believe that’s when I noticed how inspiring it can be for people,” says Joanne George.
But at 12, Joanne explains that unfortunately, it is closer to the end than the beginning. “He came to my first date”. “He is the ring-holder at my wedding, he was there when I was pregnant he changed my life.”, she adds
Smiley has also changed the lives of hundreds of men, women, and children.
Today, his fur is perhaps a little more graying, his steps a little less vivid, but his tail will never stop moving in all directions!
This is Yogi. A pup that is MUCH talking about him right now. You see why? Yes, because this dog looks like a human! At least, his mouth looks like a man’s mouth. And it’s quite disturbing.
It is a fact. With clear eyes and a well-defined mouth and raised eyebrows, Yogi’s mouth is not like any other dog. And there is no question of retouching here.
The funny thing about all this is that Yogi’s owner never found that her dog had anything different from the others. It is by posting a photo on social networks that Chantal Desjardins finds that the reactions are unusual. Everyone thinks that Yogi has a very human face and the fact that he looks like a human seems to upset people.
Dog that buzz
To prove to Chantal Desjardins that her dog is not like the others, one of her friends decided to publish the photo of Yogi on the Internet. And in a few minutes, everyone was inflamed for the little dog with such a particular look.
What is even more disturbing is that Yogi does not always have that very human mouth. It all depends on the angle of the photo.
For her part, Chantal Desjardins does not care about the reactions around her dog, which for her is and will remain the most beautiful and sweetest dog.
Every Day A Stray hungry Dog Waits At The Bus Stop To Eat Food
The story of this bus driver, a members community that looks after distributing the donated food and Feeds the Furbabies Canada, has moved many social media users, especially through Facebook. Her friendship with a stray hungry dog that she watches over every day is, indeed, most touching.
It’s the small gestures as it is here that can help make this world a better place to live for all. Small attentions that do not cost much and significantly change the lives of people who benefit. In this case, it is a stray dog who enjoys the kindness of a woman with whom he would not miss his morning appointment for anything in the world.
This bus driver, who prefer to stay anonymous, had noticed the pup for the first time 2 years ago. Extremely skinny, he searched the garbage cans, desperately trying to find something to eat. Later on, when she saw the dog on the road, she threw him some food. Since then, it has become a habit.
Every day, during her tour, she stops briefly to give the stray dog a bag full of good things. The animal is still there, sitting patiently on the side of the road, happily wagging its tail, waiting for the bus to arrive and its door opens. He then takes the food and leaves immediately running to enjoy his meal.
In the video below, posted on Furbabies Canada’s Facebook page (based in Winnipeg, Manitoba), you can discover this unusual and touching scene. She also shows that the dog seems to have gained weight thanks to the one who thinks of him every day …
We need more people in the world like this person God bless her
