This loyal dog comforts his crying baby brother and brings him his favorite toy
Dogs perceive and understand many things before us and better than us. Brutus is the perfect illustration. It also proves that these animals are the best friends of children.
Brutus, a Bullmastiff dog, lives with his family in northern California.
He is kind, he loves children and would be ready for anything for his parents, Bonnie Michalek, and her husband. On the other hand, he has a small flaw; he tends to cut into pieces all his toys, as reported by The Dodo. All but one he seems to be particularly fond of: a yellow stuffed ball that he always keeps in his mouth, wherever he goes and whatever he does.
Bonnie and her husband had adopted Brutus in 2016 while he was just a puppy.
It was, in a way, their first baby. Recently, they had a second, but human this time; their son Kayden came into the world.
The parents were not at all worried about Brutus’s attitude towards their child. They knew he would love and protect him. What prompted them to develop this conviction was that Brutus had not only understood before everyone else that Bonnie was pregnant, but also that she was extremely protective throughout her pregnancy.
Indeed, while Bonnie herself did not know she was going to become a mother, the Bullmastiff behaved in a surprising way. He refused to sleep in his niche and preferred to stay by his side. Her husband laid out the niche to make it larger, but Brutus still did not want to enter it. He refused to get away from Bonnie and was even more benevolent than before with her.
Shortly after, she learned the wonderful news, then she and her husband made the connection with the Brutus attitude. He had realized that for all that time.
